Abstract
The most advanced kind of computing, known as quantum computing, makes use of the laws of quantum physics to generate unmatched processing capacity while using less energy than traditional computers. Quantum computing integrates physics, mathematics, computer science, and information theory to reach exponential speed and efficiency above conventional computers by modifying the behavior of microscopic particles like electrons, atoms, and photons. This chapter gives an overview of the key ideas in quantum computing. It begins with a brief history of classical computing and some of its drawbacks before exploring how quantum computing functions and the quantum properties, such as superposition, entanglement, and interference, which give it its power. This study investigates the architecture, hardware, software, design, types, and algorithms uniquely required by quantum computers in order to understand the possibility of a viable quantum computer. It emphasizes the several ways by which quantum computing can have an influence on a variety of industries, including artificial intelligence, ...
