Configure Content Deployment

Content Deployment is a feature of SharePoint that allows you to take content from one Site Collection and deploy it to another Site Collection in the same SharePoint Farm or a different target Farm. Content includes items such as web pages, libraries, lists, and other resources used by deployed pages. Items that do not get carried over in the process include Features, SharePoint Solutions, assemblies, and configuration items such as web.config changes. It's important to note that Content Deployment is a one-way process; manually adding content to the target environment can cause deployment jobs to fail.
