Configure Auditing
There are many features of SharePoint 2010 that allow you to keep track of critical information that may be important to regulatory compliance and records management. Microsoft SharePoint 2010 offers Site Collection administrators the ability to track which users have taken various actions against a number of objects. The objects that one can monitor include Sites, Content Types, lists, libraries, list items, and library files.
