Configure Classic Mode Authentication

In this section, we will examine how to configure Web Applications to support classic mode authentication using Windows PowerShell and the available SharePoint 2010 cmdlets.

We examined creating Web Applications using the New-SPWebApplication and New-SPWebApplicationExtension cmdlets in Chapter 7. We review these concepts here so that we can expand upon them to include additional authentication providers. Please review Chapter 7 if you wish to get a better understanding of these cmdlets.
