While using the Autotools, there are many details to manage, most of which, as they say in the open source software world, can wait for the next release! Even as I committed this code to the FLAIM project repository, I noticed details that could be improved. The take-away lesson here is that a build system is never really finished. It should be incrementally improved over time, as you find time in your schedule to work on it. And it can be rewarding to do so.
