ENVISIONING COMPASSION COMPETENCE

GIVEN THAT COMPASSION IS an interpersonal process, how does an entire organization awaken compassion? Let’s take a look at the interpersonal model we introduced in the first section of the book and build on it. In our research, we have shown that the compassion competence of a system depends on an emergent pattern of collective noticing, interpreting, feeling, and acting in an effective and customized fashion in order to alleviate suffering.
