Be specific about a final outcome you want to achieve – your objective. Focus on what you do want rather than what you do not want. Think about how you will know that you have achieved an objective. What evidence will you require to show that you have succeeded? Think about what information you will need before you take action and make sure it will not produce any adverse consequences.
