External functions and FCMP functions can have the same name as long as they are
saved to different packages. When these packages are loaded, a warning message in the
log identifies which package contains the default definition for a given function. To use
a function definition from a package other than the default, call the function using
package-name.function-name.
When you load multiple packages of external functions, all function names must be
unique. If two or more external functions of the same name are loaded, the first function
