Capacitors, inductors and filters

There is a wide variety of components used in radio circuits. Most of them are commonly used in the more standard circuits, but others are used either in slightly different ways or they are of greater importance in radio circuitry. Inductors, capacitors and filters are of great importance in a number of radio circuits. These will be explained in this chapter. Components including resistors, semiconductors, etc., which are widely used in other areas of electronics, will not be addressed here. It is assumed that the reader has a basic understanding of them from other areas of electronics.
