Often, the graphical method is the easiest way to solve a system of equations. With a graphing calculator, it is possible to find the result with good accuracy. However, the graphical method does not usually give the exact answer. Using algebraic methods to find exact solutions for some systems of equations is either not possible or quite involved. There are systems, however, for which there are relatively simple algebraic solutions. In this section, we consider two useful methods, both of which we discussed before when we were studying systems of linear equations.
