MANY NAMES
Margarita was a Guatemalan artist who liked creating many different types of art. She would paint pictures, make sculptures, draw illustrations, write poetry, dance, and perform.
Although she was born Margarita Azurdia, she went by many names during her lifetime. She was known as Margot Fanjul, Margarita Rita Rica Dinamita, and Anastasia Margarita. As a kid, she went to boarding schools in Guatemala and Canada. When she was older, Margarita visited California and took art classes in San Francisco.
