92. Know what to say to whom
A meteoric careerist can’t have too much exposure to top people. Think hard about extending your senior contacts.
You happen to be in the lift with your Chairman, or a senior executive of a major customer. Make sure you know what you would say to them.
Most of us in such a situation are like rabbits caught in the headlights and blow this short window of time with small talk. There is a clue here for the careerist. But it’s not just about the Chairman.
