What I find intriguing about the Indian rhinoceros—also called the greater one-horned rhinoceros—is that despite being a 4,400-pound (1,995 kg) herbivore with armor-like skin, they can also be surprisingly maneuverable once set into action. In order to capture the subtle menace of this beast, I built the sculpture with its horn poised and a foreleg raised, as if it were a second away from charging.
