The Accident
The phone call came at 7:06. I was fast asleep. I had planned to do an overnight hike with some friends and had taken the Friday off to do it. The plan for the day had been a leisurely morning doing some chores around the house, and then we were going to set off around 11 to drive to the trailhead.
I was actually feeling pretty good about how things were going. The training plan was working. Chrissy was working out extremely well. Sylvie’s attendance issues had resolved.
