Chapter 5. Impress: Stylish Presentations

Knowing how to put together a concise and engaging presentation is becoming an essential skill in business and academic situations. Having a smart slideshow does three essential things in these situations: firstly, it allows the presenter to give the audience a range of information that would be tedious to run through verbatim; secondly, it forces the presenter to boil down his or her information to a few well-chosen bullet points; and finally, it provides a large area for the audience to focus on while the presenter shuffles his or her notes.
