Microsoft Dataverse is a premium, cloud-based database. As a data store, it is far superior to SharePoint, and it is Microsoft’s preferred database for products in the Power Platform. Dataverse is the database that Microsoft Dynamics 365 uses, and it is the foundation on which model-driven and portal apps are based.
