9. Canvas App Design

In this chapter, we’ll cover the cosmetic and layout features of canvas app design. This will be the first of three chapters on canvas apps. In the subsequent two chapters, we’ll cover the topic of data controls.

To start this chapter, we’ll look at simple features that can enhance our app building experience. We’ll look at the new screen layouts that are available. This time-saving feature enables us to add screens with prebuilt layouts and features. Next, we’ll look at shapes and icons, and we’ll find out how we can use themes to modify the color scheme of an app.
