Working with GIMP

In the previous chapters, we showed you how to check your documents for errors before exporting them as PDF files. We also showed you how to customize your color palette, and how to use customized colors in the design of a simple flyer.

However, Scribus is a page layout system, rather than an image processor. If you need to lighten your photographs before importing them into Scribus, or you want to cut out a foreground object and delete the background, you need to use an image processor such as GIMP.
