The PC has become a vital tool in the field of photography. In fact, you’re unlikely to find any photographer—professional or amateur—who doesn’t use a PC somewhere in his or her work.
Ubuntu includes a number of applications for cataloging and editing images. Chief among these is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), which compares favorably with professional software such as Photoshop. But there are also applications for more casual users.
