It was a lot simpler in the 1960s. Organization development (OD) was new. People in the field and those who were flocking to it were energized and enthusiastic about the learning and possibilities involved in changing organizations. It was simpler then because we didn't know very much; or, put another way, we didn't know any better. We knew training, process consultation, and team-building.
