Chapter 7. Interactivity
It's unfortunate that so many e-learning programs take the form of screen after screen of content, serving as little more than "page turners." Clicking "next" is not interaction! A lot can be done with PowerPoint to build interactivity, from treasure hunts to interactive quizzes and even to game-show-type games. And, unlike paper-and-pencil activities, PowerPoint-based quizzes, games, and activities can be enhanced with graphics, visuals, and sound clips. It's important, though, to use interactivity thoughtfully and for the purpose of supporting instruction.
