MANY PEOPLE WITH perfectionist traits have strong thoughts and beliefs that direct and dictate their lives. There’s that old rulebook again! Despite how intense and powerful these ideas are, they are often automatic and habitual rather than deliberately formulated—even to the extent that we’re often not even aware we have them. We are, however, able to see their repercussions. And, sadly, they are not always the consequences we want.
