Your Voice—ImprovingYour Instrument
Taking care of your voice, learning its capabilities, and maximizing your ability to use the voice you've been given, is as important to creating powerful communication as storytelling itself. The voice is the instrument through which a story travels from the storyteller's mind to the listener. The voice gives the story shading, emotion, depth, humor, character. Your voice is the brush that paints the picture, and if it does not perform at its best, your story loses color, detail, warmth, and meaning.
