Chapter 2. Helpful Concepts

Introduction

This chapter describes some concepts that underlie the approach and techniques I describe in the rest of the book. These concepts relate to ways of categorizing how we think about analysis:

Needs and solutions

Outcome and output

Discovery and delivery

By introducing these concepts I hope to create a common language used in the rest of the book. The terms used in these concepts are also included in the glossary.
