It’s fairly easy to sit and ponder the future in what appears to be theo-
retical terms. What’s a little harder to envision, though, are the people
and processes that will be required to manage in such an environment.
Recommitting to increasing value-creation capability will mean potential
havoc for our linear production systems.
As we move into the terrifying world of a shrinking body of people tak-
ing responsibility for integrating an expanding set of competencies, how on
