What I found was unsurprising. What used to be a whole lot of generally
skilled accounting department labor leverage was now flattened to a small
population of specialists. Everyone—including the representatives of the out-
side accounting firm—reported to the Minder Giant that I’d interviewed. He
was in charge of the Everything-Else Department.
What impressed me the most was the cooperative nature of all of the
team members as they worked together. Our Minder Giant had clearly
