The budget for an online usability test mainly depends on the cost of vendor tools and/or services, the method of recruiting, participant incentives, and, of course, the people time put into the study. This section discusses these factors, but because they're so variable depending on your particular situation, we're only able to give you ranges of cost.
Technology costs
Technology costs are the most variable, as the tools needed to be implemented for the study vary widely in sophistication.
