Copy these patterns and dry-mount them on heavy paper such as single-ply Bristol board or medium-weight drawing paper, both of which should be available at any art supply store. Don’t use cardboard; it’s too stiff and thick for this device.

Cut out the parts carefully then score the fold lines very lightly with a sharp blade so that you can control the fold location. Be careful not to cut through the paper; just weaken it and then bend it to establish the fold lines.
