The first key to effectively launching tight execution of a strategy is to make sure that everyone understands the path that will be followed and how and where they fit in. It is fun to say that “we need a burning platform” to get people started moving. It sounds aggressive and decisive. You will get people moving, but in a panic and survival mode. That is not the kind of energy you need to create to be successful.
