Throughout the process of model sharing and transferring digital formats, you can update your current model in a number of ways (Figure 4.13). Depending upon the project delivery method type and type of company delivering it, you need a coherent and logical means of updating BIM information. The strategy for model updating in a company that has all design-build functions in-house or that colocates in the same office for a project will be different from a team in New York working on a project in Dubai, for example.
