Launch of a nationwide initiative

What followed Paul Morrell’s initial declarations on BIM has been one of the most profound initiatives for change in the construction industry in modern times. The Government through its BIM Task Group instigated a UK wide programme to change the way the Government property portfolio is procured. In future, procurement should focus on reducing costs in capital expenditure and delivering a valuable information asset that will target operating expenditure in a more efficient way.
