Abstract
A wealth of knowledge is concealed in the centre of medical research data because some implications cannot be quickly or even at all analyzed using a traditional statistical approach. With nature as inspiration, algorithms using metaheuristics have been introduced to provide, in a reasonable amount of time, optimal or nearly optimal responses for challenging data analysis and decision-making activities. Due to their potent quality, metaheuristic algorithms have been repeatedly utilized in numerous scientific disciplines. In medicine, however, due to their robust quality, metaheuristic methods have been extensively utilized in numerous scientific disciplines. Therefore, in this chapter, we will talk about how genetic algorithms can be applied to the field of medicine. In addition to pharmacotherapy, radiology, surgery, cardiology radiotherapy, pediatrics, endocrinology, obstetrics, and gynecology, pulmonary medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, neurology, infectious diseases, and health care administration have all found promising applications for the genetic algorithm. In this article, we explained the genetic algorithm and how ...
