Property Assessments of Tissues
Abstract
There are many schemes to probe the structure and properties of natural tissue, and it is within the realm of clinical diagnostics to evaluate these both by noninvasive tools and by biopsy as needed. Much has learned by tissue donations of the link between tissue density and composition, aging differences, and ultimately the mechanical, electrical, and phase structural features that lead to phase contrast in organized tissues. Here details of how property assessments are conducted, what is determinant, and what can learned by altering the experimental conditions.
