Neural Interventions

Abstract

The capacity to both probe and resolve defects that arise in the neurovasculature and with neuronal cells has dramatically influenced outcomes in what is a grand challenge, understanding brain function. Enhanced diagnostic imaging capacity has led to more understanding of where neurovascular defects arise and clips, coils, embolic fluids, and stents have proven successful in addressing cerebrovascular defects that if left untreated, can be fatal. We can also link larger understanding to brain function to improved endovascular surgery deployed by catheter which has dramatically improved outcomes and recovery times.
