Redox Control of Gene Expression Level

Abstract

In the present chapter we will consider paradigmatic cases in which the role of the redox state of certain molecular effectors (e.g., enzymes, cofactors, etc.) has been shown to be a determinant in modulating the gene expression level through a cascade of molecular interactions and events. We will consider only those cases in which the redox functionality has been shown in a robust, unequivocal way.
