Wow, something amazing is happening right now, and you're without your video camera. If only you carried one in your pocket. Wait, you do carry one because you have your BlackBerry! That's right; with your BlackBerry, you can record your unbelievable scene in full motion.
Before you start that BlackBerry camera rolling, read this chapter so that you know what to expect and how to get the best shot. We also walk you through the easy steps in capturing that funny moment, and then show you how to store those videos. Finally, we show you how to share those epic films with your friends.
Say Action: Capturing Video
The Camera application is a multipurpose one. You can use it to take videos as well as still photos. Here are the quick-and-easy steps to use Video Camera mode:
Press the right convenience key (bottom key on the right side of your BlackBerry) to bring up the Camera application.
Right convenience key opens the Camera app by default. See Book I, Chapter 3 on how to customize the convenience keys.
Press the Menu key and select Video Camera. (See Figure 4-1.)
The screen appears like a viewfinder on a typical digital video camera, as shown in Figure 4-2.
Press the trackball, trackpad, or touch screen to start recording.
