Extending the editor—interacting with Subversion

When actively developing scripts it can be difficult to keep track of changes or to revert to previous versions. This is not unique to writing Python scripts in Blender and over the years a number of version control systems have evolved. One of the better known, and widely used ones is Subversion (http://subversion.tigris.org). In this section, we show how the editor can be augmented to commit or update a text file from a repository.
