Summary

Congratulations! We've successfully completed the second project! It's been tough and we've talked about a lot of new topics on the way. We've discussed:

  • Adding textures to materials
  • Marking UV seams
  • Unwrapping and exporting UV coordinates
  • Using GIMP to create a custom UVmap
  • Applying UV maps to meshes
  • Using Blender's displacement feature
  • Basic use of Blender's node compositor and using it to enhance our scene

We've taken a look at lighting and texturing both outdoor and indoor environments. Next, we're going to take a look at a scene that incorporates elements of both environments and what we should consider in those situations. Onto the next!
