Manipulating the F-Curves of texture movement

Finer control over the speed of transition from one keyframe to another is a useful tool to have at one's disposal. Blender has its own editor that treats these transitions as a fully editable curve.

How to do it...

Manipulating curves to control the overall speed of an action, or control variations in speed across time is easy in the F-Curve editor.

  1. Open the following files, which you created earlier.
    animated‑materials‑02.blend
    
  2. This will ensure we start with all the materials set up but no keyframes set yet. Make sure you are on frame 1 in the Timeline.
