Combining UV maps to create an enveloping UV

Multiple UV maps are a great innovation in Blender but if you are unable to use them together in a single render, how useful can they be? Well, Blender allows us to remap UVs onto other UV maps and we can use this simple technique to create a master UV that contains the combined best features of our side and front UVs that we created in the last two recipes.

Getting ready

You will need the last saved blendfile from the previous recipe UV-FACE-05.blend. If you have not completed that recipe, you can use the file from the UV-HEAD.zip file available for download at the Packtpub website.
