Chapter 13. Making the Robot Look Metallic with Materials in LuxRender

In the first two chapters of this third project, we started adding objects and details to our robot. Now, it's time to assemble all the parts of the robot and finally begin adding materials to the model in LuxRender. In this chapter, we will learn how to install LuxRender and export our scenes to the renderer.

Before we go any further, we will have to install LuxRender to set up the materials of the robot model. This is necessary because LuxRender works more independently than YafaRay.
