Time for action — adding color to the lamp

White light is great, but with a full spectrum to choose from, why restrict yourself? You are going to get your first exposure to Blender's second-most important window, the Properties window which has controls for cameras, materials, textures, lights, and so on. Do not confuse this with the 3D View Properties panel which we looked at briefly in the previous chapter. I will always refer to that as the 3D View Properties panel.

  1. If the lamp is not selected, select it with theRMB.
