In our basic hierarchy, the Root controller is the parent to everything and will be used to place the whole tentacle rig. Root will have many children, some control bones (tentacle.main, tentacle.ik, and tentacle.001), and some independent hierarchies (DEF.tentacle.001 and MCH.IK.tentacle.001). The trickiest parent/child chain will be the layering of the FK controls. MCH.tentacleMain.001 will have ORG.tentacle.001 and tentacle.001 as sibling children. ORG.tentacle.001 will contain the next layer of the hierarchy, with MCH.tentacleMain.002 as a child, which then contains the siblings, ORG.tentacle.002 and tentacle.002, again. This repeats all the way up until the .008 bones. We'll then put bone constraints ...
