Abstract
This paper proposes a novel architecture in the domain of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in e-healthcare addressing security and privacy challenges. It also provides an analysis of the safety and confidentiality challenges, along with necessities, threats, and upcoming scope of research. With outstanding development, IoMT has a massive impact on people’s normal lifestyle. For instance, instead of a physical visit to the clinic, a patient’s medical history data are remotely handled and processed in a real-time framework and thereafter moved to a third party for later use, i.e., data stored in a cloud. With the increasing requirements on quality medical care and the constantly rising care expenses, system- and web-oriented medical care is considered as an innovative solution to address medical challenges worldwide. Specifically, the new advances in the Internet of Things (IoT) have prompted the development of IoMT. Albeit such cost-effective and web-based systems and devices might actually change the current responsive care to preventive care, concerns regarding the privacy and security of patient data in such web-based frameworks ...
