Abstract

Blockchain technology has gained a lot of attention due to the growing interest in a variety of applications, including data management, financial services, cyber security, IoT, food science, the healthcare sector, and brain research. The use of blockchain technology for the provision of safe and secure healthcare data management has attracted considerable interest. By aggregating all real-time clinical data relevant to a patient’s health and presenting it in a cutting-edge, secure healthcare environment, blockchain technology has the potential to support personalized, genuine, and secure healthcare in the future. In this chapter, both the recent and present trends in the healthcare sector using blockchain as a paradigm have been evaluated, and the uses of the blockchain in addition to the issues experienced and the future outlook have been discussed.
