Possibly the nation’s favourite fruit, the list of benefits from bananas keeps on growing. Although you may slip up on the skin, the fruit can help your blood pressure slip down.

They’re bright yellow, delicious to eat, and they’re a funny shape. You can’t help but smile when you hold one. In fact, hold a banana horizontally and it’ll smile back at you.

You’re probably smiling now as you read this. But it’s true. Bananas are now believed to be able to help lower blood pressure. That’s right and it’s official too. The United States Food and Drug Administration has given permission to banana producers to claim that eating bananas can reduce the risk of developing high blood pressure and strokes.
