The application of Bluetooth low energy can be broken into two separate disciplines: the design of applications that find and interact with peripherals, and the design of peripherals that can provide information to these applications running on a central device. Both disciplines require knowledge of how all the previous parts fit together to make a functioning whole. This chapter looks at the applications from a central point of view.
