Women are not the only ones who can benefit by developing the behaviors described in this book. Though women leaders benefit by breaking through “bitch” and men don’t need to worry about that, today’s organizations need leaders who are skilled in these collaborative skills, both women and men. Warren Bennis, an expert on organizational leadership, called this an egalitarian age that requires a new style of leader. Organizations are knowledge-based and highly automated.
