Interview with Mathias Curnier (Mentor)

Mathias joined ENGIE in 1996, and is currently Deputy Executive Vice-President, Communications & Marketing, Environmental & Social Responsibility. He has worked with two mentees in the ENGIE Mentoring Program and recently mentored Paola Vezzaro.

Can you tell me briefly about your business career?

I joined the ENGIE group in 1996. From 1996 till 2001, I was successively Market Analyst and Business Development Manager for United Water and Degremont, subsidiaries of SUEZ Environment in the United States. Back in France in 2002, I became Marketing Programme Manager in the areas of pulp and paper, oil and pharmaceutical industries for SUEZ Industrial Solutions. I am now Deputy to the Executive Vice President of ENGIE, Communications, Marketing, Environmental & Social Responsibility.

I hold a bachelor of business administration and an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Fox School of Business, Temple University, Philadelphia, in the United States. I've been a member of the board of Culturespaces and Culturespaces Foundation since 2010. I am a member of the French American Foundation.
