IN JULY OF 2020, FIVE LONG MONTHS BEFORE PFIZER KNEW whether its vaccine would effectively provide protection against Covid-19, I reached out to National Geographic (NatGeo), a division of the Walt Disney Company, to discuss a collaboration on a documentary film about Pfizer’s all-hands-on-deck effort to find an effective vaccine in record time.
NatGeo was the obvious and best media outlet for this project because it has both scientific credibility and journalistic integrity.
